Itinerary

Day 1 – Hobart
Day 2 – Port Arthur
Delve into Tasmania’s convict past with a visit to World Heritage-listed Port Arthur. Your guided tour includes a cruise to the Isle of the Dead, giving you a fascinating insight into the lives and deaths of some of Port Arthur’s past residents, both convicts and free settlers. EnrichWitness history in the making with your visit to the ‘Wall in the Wilderness’, a wood-carved history of the Central Tasmanian Highlands that is a continuous work in progress. Greg Duncan has hand-carved a series of scenes into panels commemorating those who have shaped the area’s past and present.
Travel to Queenstown before arriving in the picturesque village of Strahan, where you will enjoy an overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 5 – Cradle Mountain
Day 6 – Cradle Mountain > Smithton
Your final destination today is the breathtaking Freycinet National Park, where you’ll discover this incredible wilderness whilst enjoying a two night Special Stay.
Day 10 – Freycinet National Park
A day at leisure to explore this coastal wilderness at your own pace. Marvel at the myriad of colours – pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise waters. Take one of the many walks and soak up the beauty of Wineglass Bay. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 11 – Freycinet National Park > Hobart
Visit the Tasmanian Wool Centre in the convict town of Ross. Your local guide will share stories of the town’s history and the influence of its first export – wool.
Stop in Richmond and see Australia’s oldest bridge, built by convict labour. During a visit to Bonorong National Park meet Tasmania’s shy and elusive Tasmanian Devil, before arriving back at the your hotel in Hobart for two nights. Meals included: BreakfastDay 12 – Hobart
Today choose from a range of Hobart attractions – enjoy a cruise to Peppermint Bay or take a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery. Alternatively, tour the Huon Valley and walk amongst the fruit orchards or cruise on the MONA ferry and enjoy a tour of the daring Museum of Old and New Art. Toast your adventures during tonight’s farewell dinner at the Drunken Admiral Restaurant. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
