    DAY 1. DEPART AUSTRALIA

    DAY 2. ARRIVE CASABLANCA
    Welcome to Morocco, and its buzzing economical centre, Casablanca! Meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director this evening for a welcome drink.

    DAY 3. CASABLANCA
    Today we explore the busy streets of Casablanca and acquaint ourselves with its European-influenced architecture along the Aindiab Esplanade and in the Central Market. We’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque – the largest in Morocco and second-largest in the world. After some free time for lunch, we’ll tour the Quartier Habous, laid out by the French in the 1920s. Tonight we’ll enjoy a group welcome dinner at a local restaurant. [B,D]

    DAY 4. CASABLANCA – ESSAOUIRA
    This morning we depart for Essaouira, a charming town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast that was once the old Portuguese city of Mogador. [B]

    DAY 5. ESSAOUIRA
    We’ll begin our day of sightseeing at the city’s port to experience the lively atmosphere as the boats come in and fish are sold. We’ll then discover the ‘Door of the Navy’, Moulay el-Hassan place, and wander through the town’s colourful kasbah. [B]

    DAY 6. ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKESHGateway to Meknes Medina, Morocco Roy Bisson
    Travelling inland, we make our way to the magical ‘Rose City’ of Marrakesh. After an orientation tour later this morning, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. [B,D]

    Special Experience: Tonight we’ll make our way through buzzing Jemaa-el-Fnaa Square to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

    DAY 7. MARRAKESH
    Marrakesh is the real heartbeat of Morocco and we’ll enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including a visit to the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace and the enchanting Jardin Marjorelle, gifted to the city by Yves Saint Laurent. [B]

    DAY 8. MARRAKESH
    This morning we’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan cooking lesson at a beautiful riad. The afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace. Why not shop for carpets and crafts in the city’s labyrinth of souks or visit the Dar Si Said Museum? [B]

    DAY 9. MARRAKESH – SKOURA
    We travel through the High Atlas Mountains to the fortified city of Aït Ben Haddou. We’ll wander through the Ksar and make our way to the top for beautiful views over the desert. This afternoon we’ll make the short trip to Ourzazate to visit the kasbahs of Tifoultoute and Taoirt, then continue to the oasis town of Skoura. [B,D]

    DAY 10. SKOURADyeing pits in Fez, Morocco
    This morning we visit the palm groves and Amridil kasbah, and have tea at a local pottery. Heading back to our guesthouse, we’ll enjoy a typical Berber couscous. [B,D]

    Special Experience: Take part in a traditional calligraphy workshop with a local artisan.

    DAY 11. SKOURA – MERZOUGA
    Today we visit the Berber town of Boumalne. This afternoon in Erfoud we’ll transfer to 4WDs and make our way across the vast Sahara Desert to Merzouga. Our accommodation for the next two nights is a traditional Moroccan kasbah! [B,D]

    DAY 12. MERZOUGA

    Special Experience: Witness an incredible sunrise over the endless dunes of the Sahara Desert.

    After breakfast, we travel to a nearby village to enjoy the local Gnaoua music over tea. We’ll then visit the traditional artists’ town of Tissardmine for lunch amongst the palms. [B,L,D]

    DAY 13. MERZOUGA – FEZ
    We cross over the Middle Atlas Mountains on our way to Fez. Along the way we’ll visit the market town of Midelt and have lunch at a local restaurant. [B,L,D]

    DAY 14. FEZMarrakesh-Morocco
    Considered the cultural and religious centre of Morocco, Fez is a window to the Middle Ages. We’ll explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and covered souks of the medina, visit the Madressa and famous tannery, and see the Karaouine Mosque. [B]

    DAY 15. FEZ
    Today is free for you to enjoy at leisure. [B]

    Optional Walking Discovery: Why not enjoy a sunset walk up to Mt Zalagh for beautiful views over Fez? 

    DAY 16. FEZ – CHEFCHAOUEN

    Special Experience: This morning we travel to the magical town of Chefchaouen, one of the prettiest in Morocco, washed in hundreds of shades of blue.

    This afternoon we’ll explore the picturesque streets on foot. [B,D]

    DAY 17. CHEFCHAOUEN

    Optional Walking Discovery: Walk the short trail uphill towards a stunning lookout point over the town and Camels-in-the-Sahara,-Moroccosurrounding mountains. Learn more

    DAY 18. CHEFCHAOUEN – MEKNES – RABAT
    On our way to Rabat today we visit Morocco’s smallest imperial city, Meknes. We’ll see the beautifully preserved gates of Bab El-Mansour and the old medina. We’ll also see the ruins of Volubilis, once an important Roman city dating back to the 3rd century BC. Tonight we’ll enjoy a group farewell dinner. [B,D]

    DAY 19. RABAT – DEPART CASABLANCA
    Today we begin our journey home. [B]
